Eco Flats Apartments
Eco friendly living near VCU
About Eco Flats
eco - [i:kəu] — as part of a word concerned with living things in relation to their environment
flat - [flât] An apartment on one floor of a building.
HOW and WHY did we put Eco in Flats?
Here’s how:
- We started by recycling the four historic buildings that make up EcoFlats, built over 100 years ago. Instead of tearing them down, creating more waste, and using more materials, we reused them.
- We recycled 40% of the demo waste from these existing buildings.
- We completed the project with finishes and features that have minimal impact on the environment.
